Mike in Barcelona, Dan in Slovakia

Mike speaking in Sunday meeting
"Our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases." Psalms 115:3   "Who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, 'Why did you make me like this,' will it?"  Romans 9:20 (From the texts that Mike expounded)

We are presently in Peñíscola on the east coast of Spain for a convention of international workers with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. The special speaker is Sunder Krishnan from Toronto, Canada and our youngest son, Mike, has been asked to lead the praise times. A five-person team came with him from Minnesota and on the week-end previous to the convention they split into two parts... a couple went to Malaga to participate with a mission that opposes sex trafficking. The others went to Barcelona to observe a work to reach out to Muslims.

At first, they were all together in Madrid to spend a couple days with the CMA workers there. Margaret and I drove down to Madrid on May 8 to find Mike and ride with him to Barcelona. In Peñíscola, the team will be working with the children of the workers, and one of the young ladies will be playing violin.

Mike was invited to minister to house leaders in the RETO Center on Saturday afternoon and then on Sunday in the main weekly service in Ripollet, Barcelona. After dinner, he had a talk with the youth and then spoke to the married couples, as well as a number of people engaged to be married.

The word went forth powerfully, clearly, and solidly, as Mike spoke of the need to hold a high concept of God as top priority and then to live to bring him glory. As someone in the Barcelona work said, there were no words to describe what took place in those meetings, but it was evident that the messages brought conviction and awakening.

Mike also sang in two of the meetings and, although the songs were in English, without Mike´s knowledge, a number were also in Spanish, so the people sang along. These were some especially anointed times with everyone enveloped in praise and worship.

Margaret and I felt so privileged to be present to witness this special time, as well as to be able to visit with our son. It was my honor to interpret for him. Many thanks to Jose and Ana, who were our hosts for the weekend, blessing us in so many different ways. All glory belongs to Him, who, we are firmly convinced, led us in His purposes in order to accomplish eternal results.

                                                                        ..................

The Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil." Then Satan answered the Lord, "Does Job fear God for nothing?... Put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face..." The Sabeans attacked and took (the oxen and donkeys). They also slew the servants... The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants... The Caldians made a raid on the camels and took them and slew the servants... A great wind came and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on (Job´s children) and they died... Then Job fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord?           Job 1:8-9, 11, 14-21

Dan at the Vienna airport
Previous to Mike's coming to Spain on May 5th, on April 29, I arrived seven hours before our oldest son, Dan, at the airport in Vienna, Austria. We were met by Pavle Kocev and driven into Slovakia, where we ministered together to individuals and in meetings. Dan delivered a stirring message on the life and trials of Job.

The Pavle Kocev family
Dan and I have been doing this now for a number of years and these times have been blessed. Pavle has been a friend of Daniel since they met, when Dan was a missionary in Macedonia. Later, Pavle went to Bible school and then to Slovakia to minister the word of God. He married a Slovakian girl and they now have three children.

Dan returned to his family and church in Swanton, Vermont, on May 4th.

Lowell, you are so awesome. You and Margaret are to be commended for raising such great kids who love God. You've obviously done something right. It's great to see your kids on the front lines of ministry. Blessings to you and your family. Randy

Thanks, Randy. That's very encouraging and we are very thankful! It's 100% grace with some Holy Spirit teaching from His word thrown in.
